December 2018 - January 2019

Hello Readers,December 2018 Yank News
We are about to call an end to another year with the arrival of summer, Christmas holidays and New Year celebrations.
The Lions Club are holding the Christmas Eve Kids Party in the Normanville Mitre 10 carpark, starting around 6pm with Santa arriving at 7pm. See page 9.
There is Christmas Carols at Yankalilla (page 4) and Second Valley (page 3) and a bunch of markets to pick up some local wares.
The Normanville New Years Eve Pageant will hit the streets again this year for the 21st time! Details are on page 15 and if you haven't got your float organised, now is the time.
More news from Festival Fleurieu is on pages 16-17 with new ways you can get involved in this local event scheduled for April 2019.
During November we paid our respects and marked the 100 year anniversary of Armistice Day. Second Valley certainly put on a memorable event for this special day as you can see on page 13. Lest we forget.
SA Dog Rescue is looking for your donation to their Christmas Wish List (page 7) and you can leave your present under the Christmas tree at Yankalilla Trading Store.
If you are an online reader of the YRN, I will be working on a better presentation and easier reading experience for the digital platform.
2019 is looking like a busy and fun year on the Fleurieu. Get out there and enjoy it.
Until next issue...
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas
& Happy New Year.
Cheers,
Paul Jelfs - Editor.
