Happy Mother’s Day and bring on the winter months.
The wood fires are burning already. “The people who manage the jetty café should give it up, it is never open” is what was written on a covering note from a reader, when I opened some mail recently. The note was attached to a page cut out of the Advertiser. “This information should be in our local news” the note also said. No doubt many have read it but, as requested, I have reprinted the bit (right) that relates to our area - just for the record! (Obviously it is not referring to our wonderful Jetty Food Store in the Main Street, but the café by the jetty at Normanville beach.) It is that time of year when I have to revisit the advertising rates. Roughly based on CPI with added allowance for people who went bankrupt without paying their debts and other non payers. The YRN is not immune to such things unfortunately. The updated price list is effective from June issue. Ending on a happy note… you could win a double pass to the Yankalilla Road Trip show, see page 11. Until next issue...

Happy Easter to everyone and I hope you enjoy the school holidays and long weekends this month. One of those holidays is for ANZAC Day and if the trend continues there should be a big turnout for the dawn service. Lest We Forget. There are lots of things to do over Easter, particularly for the art lovers with exhibitions throughout the area.
For some live music my band ‘Sonic Bomb’ is back
at the Yank Pub on Easter Saturday from 9pm.
I did catch up on submitted articles this month but ran out of room for puzzles. The last solutions are below and right for your information. And there is no more room for me either so…. until next issue...
